If you have old / vintage hi-fi equipment that you no longer require, then check with us as to whether we might be able to use it. Although we are unable to use everything.. if we are able to recycle then we will surely try! Send us a message as to what you have, or give us a call. And if you buy anything new from us, then we will recycle your old one for FREE
Why recycle?
Unwanted electrical equipment is the UK’s fastest growing type of waste, with many items just requiring a new home, or it maybe something that we can repair or recycle.
We are pleased to offer our customers the chance to recycle their old electrical items.
Simply bring back your old equipment to the shop or message us and we’ll let you know if we can recyle it.
WEEE Regulations
What is WEEE?
The Waste Electrical or Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive requires countries to maximise separate collection and environmentally friendly processing of these items. In the UK, distributors (including retailers) must provide a system which allows all customers buying new electrical equipment, the opportunity to recycle their old items free of charge. Those establishing their own take-back scheme must, as a minimum, offer all customers buying new electrical equipment free take back of their old electricals on a like-for-like basis. Our Obligations to you
This clause only applies to household users of electrical items. If you are a Business Customer you will need to find a local collector or waste company to dispose of your waste.
Where you are buying replacement electrical and electronic equipment (“Replacement EEE”) as a consumer we have certain obligations under the WEEE Regulations to take back WEEE without charge. You can return WEEE to us in accordance with the provisions below where you are buying Replacement EEE as a consumer.
Where you are purchasing Goods online you must return your old items to us at THAT’S AUDIO, 131 Mill Street, Kidlington, Oxfordshire. OX5 2EE. All returns must be at your cost and be within 28 days of purchase of the replacement EEE.
Where Goods are purchased from one of our stores, you must return your old item to the same store at your cost. All returns are to be made within 28 days or purchase of the replacement EEE.
