Description
4mm BFA (British Federation of Audio) banana plugs were developed for use with compatible high quality amplifiers. These BFA style plugs are used for terminating speaker cables, and to enable the speaker cable to fit snugly and securely into the special amplifier sockets that were fitted to certain models of Arcam (who first developed concept), Linn and Cyrus amplifiers. These plugs are ideal for replacing existing BFA style plugs or for terminating speaker cable to connect with older amplifiers that use BFA connections.
BFA plugs can also be used in standard 4mm binding posts and are especially convenient if the binding post / socket is a little tight for standard 4mm banana plugs, as these BFA banana plugs provide a little more give when pushing into the amplifier / speaker socket. Can also be used to connect together two pieces of Speaker / Audio cable as their design provides both male / female connection (please view images) And therefore allows you to extend you speaker cable.
RED and BLACK heat-shrink tubing included to insulate banana plug terminations and to help identify channel polarity.
