This is a GENUINE PRO-JECT replacement Tonearm counter weight. The purpose of a counterweight is to apply the optimum downward force for your pick-up cartridge to read the most amount of detail within the record groove. Some cartridges may need a heavier weight.
Some cartridges may require a heavier weight than your current counterweight.
