Description
Direct Box Transformer VTXDB2
11.5 : 1+1 step down ratio for line level to mic level conversion
High Performance Direct Box Transformer VTXDB2 – A direct box transformer is a key component in a direct injection (DI) box, a device used to connect high-impedance, unbalanced audio sources (like electric guitars, basses, or keyboards) to low-impedance, balanced inputs (like those on mixers or audio interfaces). The transformer inside the DI box performs several critical functions to ensure clean, noise-free audio signal transfer.
Direct Box (DI Box) Transformer VTX-D2
- D.I. for electric guitar
- Coupling instrument pickups to low impedance microphone inputs
- Converts unbalanced line level (high impedance) instrument signals to balanced microphone input level for direct connection to a mixing desk.
- Eliminates hum.
- Long cable runs without HF loss
- Connect pins 2, 3 & screening can to DI box ground
- Features:
High nickel content core for low distortion
Electrostatic screens and mu-metal screening can for up to 30dB noise rejection
