PUSH-PULL (PP) Output Transformers (Hi-Fi)

A specialist range of PUSH-PULL (PP) Output Transformers designed specifically for use in Hi-Fi valve amplifiers.

Hi-Fi valve amplifiers typically operate between 20Hz and 20kHz. This is achieved by splitting the transformer windings up into several layers (or sections) which affects the coupling between input and output. Typically, for hi-fi amplifiers, the windings of the transformer are split into 7 to 14 sections, creating a narrower bandwidth compared to transformers designed for guitar amplifiers.

  • Made up from multiple interleaved winding sections to maximise coupling while keeping inter-winding capacitance to a minimum

  • CNC wound for excellent layering and repeatability
  • Hand laminated 1 x 1 for optimal performance
